Writer-in-Residence Richard Meier’s new book, “A Companion,” was released on May 13 by Wave Books, along with the audiobook of its sister-book, “A Duration.”

Each year, as a memorial to professors M.E. Chapin, Wilma Tague, and Juanita Jones, the English Department awards prizes in fiction, non-fiction/hybrid prose, and poetry.

Each year, Carthage awards one full tuition scholarship to an incoming freshman who will be majoring in English, history, or English with an emphasis on creative writing. Applications are due Nov. 1.
