This study tour is a global studies course incorporating travel to ±Ê±ð°ùú, primarily Cusco and Machu Picchu. This course provides experiential learning in cultural studies, including both the modern society of ±Ê±ð°ùú as well as the traditional cultures of native tribes such as the Quechua and Aymara, to name just two. Students in this class will experience numerous workshops and day trips designed to gain a broad overview of Peruvian culture as well as first-hand knowledge of the most common traditions and beliefs of (the very large) indigenous population of the country. The class will spend 10 days in Cusco, the original capital of the Inca empire, and then leave by train to Machu Picchu for two nights. Afterwards, the class will stay overnight elsewhere to visit other sites of cultural interest before returning home.

This course fulfills the ITL and CL requirements.
