This is a course in biodiversity and culture. We will explore the local flora and fauna of our travel destinations and learn about the unique adaptations that exist in various niches. Along the way, we will explore the evolutionary connections between organisms at each site and learn about the cultural significance of local flora and fauna and the role that these organisms have played in the lives of humans. This course also provides experiential learning in cultural studies.
