This course starts with an introduction to digital photography, and then students travel to Costa Rica for a abroad tour. Students photograph various organisms and learn about their biology while also learning about the conservation efforts that are going on in the country. After the tour is complete, students take what they learned and craft a project that utilizes visual imagery to educate others about the value of and/or threats to the biodiversity in Costa Rica.
