1. The Beach

2. Campbell Student Union

3. Engagement and Inclusion Center

4. David A. Straz Jr. Center/Science Center

“Without a doubt, one of my favorite spots on campus is the spacious room in the David A. Straz Jr. Center. It’s a cozy haven where you can relax on the comfortable mats lining the stairs. This inviting space has become my go-to spot to unwind after classes, catch up with friends, study, enjoy a meal, charge my devices, and simply soak in the campus atmosphere.” — Summer Zilisch ’26, neuroscience and psychology major


5. Dorm Rooms

“My favorite spot on campus is my dorm. I am so lucky to live in The Tower this year, and all of my roommates and I made our space so cozy; it feels like home.” — Meg Schultz ’27, elementary education major


6. Esports Arena

In 2021, esports became the first coed varsity sport at Carthage, and the 28th overall sport for the Firebirds.

“My favorite spot on campus is the Esports Arena in the Todd Wehr Center. It looks the coolest, and when I’m in there, it is usually when I have completed all of my work.” — Jeremy Swatzak ’26, allied health science major


7. Hedberg Library

“My favorite spot on campus is Hedberg Library. It is a great study spot that allows for me to get my work done without distraction. The study rooms in the lower level are great for study groups. My friends and I have utilized those study rooms on multiple occasions.” — Basil Kiracofe ’27, political science and studio art major 


8. Kissing Rock

“My favorite spot on campus is hands down the Kissing Rock! It has the best views of Lake Michigan, and every week, students paint it to bring awareness to all different types of things — it’s beautiful!” — Kara Oldham ’26, English and religion major


9. The Oaks

“I enjoy The Oaks lounges. They’re very spacious, and I often have game nights there with friends. It’s also a good spot to go and relax. In the basement of The Oaks buildings are music practice rooms that I also go to frequently to play piano.” — Maverick Leer ’26, biology major


10. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center

“My favorite spot on campus is the TARC. It features a gym, rock wall, basketball courts, and a ton of other features that really help with staying in shape and are great for hanging out with friends.” — Emmitt Hansen ’27, graphic design major
