Important Notice: Concussion Testing Services

Please be aware that our department nurse cannot provide concussion testing or assessment. If you suspect a concussion, we recommend visiting the nearest emergency department for prompt evaluation and care. Timely medical attention is essential for any suspected head injury.
If you do not have a preferred emergency care location, please review the Urgent Care list below for local urgent care centers and other emergency departments.

Out-of-Class Notices

The Health and Counseling Center also coordinates official out-of-class notices for students who have been absent for three or more consecutive days. Students must complete a release of information (ROI) and provide medical documentation to the Health and Counseling Center. Due to confidentiality, the Health and Counseling Center cannot contact any professors or staff members until an ROI is completed. Students who have been absent from class for one or two days should directly notify their professors if their illness interferes with their academic work and determine their responsibilities.
