Hear from program mentees
Each month, mentees capture key takeaways in their My Aspire Plan, linking their conversations to competencies and career readiness. Every year concludes with a scholarship opportunity in which mentees submit thoughtful essays reflecting on their mentoring journey. Hear what our program mentees have to say:

“In the fall of my third year, I was headed in a direction that had no direction. I was preparing to study abroad, applying for summer internships, and was unclear what to do with my marketing degree after graduation. Little did I know how much a strong mentorship program would alter that and provide me with clarity moving forward.”

“I am very grateful to Ðǿմ«Ã½ and The Aspire Program for creating this opportunity, and I am once again impressed with the notion that one must take full advantage of their college experience and the programs/events that come with it. I know I will be encouraging all my friends to take part in this program, and I will remember the lessons I’ve learned and the people I’ve met for years to come.” — Tessa Baty ’26, mentored by April Schultz ’15

“The monthly one-hour meetings quickly became something I looked forward to, not just for the support, but also for real conversations about teaching, learning, and what it truly means to be an educator. Through my mentor’s guidance, I’ve gained both practical skills and a deeper sense of confidence in my abilities.” — Grace Steinberg ’26, mentored by Melissa Brulz ’23
