Participate in The Aspire Program activities
The Aspire Program is structured around career readiness, personal development, and reflection. Students earn points and badges through activities such as:
Career exploration
- Completing PathwayU assessments
- Attending career panels and industry events
- Exploring job roles, majors, and values alignment
Skill-building and competency development
- Engaging in workshops (e.g., résumé writing, digital fluency, time management)
- Participating in mock interviews
- Completing reflection activities on leadership, service, or group involvement
Community engagement and leadership
- Volunteering or completing service-learning projects
- Holding leadership positions in clubs or organizations
- Attending diversity, equity, and inclusion events
Professional readiness
- Attending career fairs
- Completing an internship, research experience, or job shadow
- Updating LinkedIn or Handshake profiles
Badge and microcredential completion
- Earning MAP Badges in key areas like collaboration, communication, contribution, etc.
- Completing MAP points in each competency category
- Receiving the MAP microcredential and gold cords at graduation
These activities are designed to help students grow holistically — academically, professionally, and personally — while preparing for a purposeful and fulfilling life beyond college.
