“Ðǿմ«Ã½ has truly changed my life, both personally and professionally. The growth I’ve experienced wouldn’t have been possible without all the moving pieces: the mentors who believed in me, the friendships that challenged and uplifted me, the administration that guided me, and the opportunities that shaped my path. I’ve always been told it takes a village to raise a child, and at Carthage, everyone in that village is ready to support and invest in your success.”

“I chose to attend Carthage for a variety of reasons, including the scholarships presented to me. I received one of the Hay Presidential Scholarships. For me, this scholarship meant that the college saw potential in me, even if I don’t always see it in myself. This has been a very empowering experience. This scholarship was also what gave me the financial boost that I needed to be able to attend Carthage.”

““What makes Carthage special to me is the genuine warmth of its community, from professors to shuttle drivers who greet you like family. Whether you’re walking across campus or exploring downtown Kenosha, everyone’s kindness and support make you feel truly at home.””

“Carthage is special to me because of how much care and thought the professors take with each student. Being a double major, involved in the music and theatre departments, and a student worker, my schedule is very busy and the stress can often build up. Professors like Martin McClendon and Matthew Hougland are always so understanding and supportive of their students who may be having difficulty adjusting to college life and managing their schedules. They not only supported me, but pushed me to be better as a student when I was lacking in some areas.”

“Carthage has provided me with numerous opportunities to explore who I am as a learner, a leader, and the person I aspire to become. Through supportive faculty and a vibrant campus community, I’ve been able to challenge myself academically, grow through leadership roles, and reflect on my goals and values. Each experience, whether in the classroom, through student organizations, or during service opportunities, has helped me gain a deeper understanding of my strengths, passions, and the kind of impact I want to make in the world.”
