About the Collection
The Center for Children’s Literature houses a collection of more than 16,000 children’s and young adult books.
The collection grows each year through purchases by ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s Library and Information Services Department, and the generosity of publishers.
The collection includes more than 1,400 books of poetry, thanks to a generous gift in memory of Carthage alumna Joy Moldenhauer, given by Don Moldenhauer, her husband, and a Carthage alumnus. A new of international books has been added in memory of June Ward, a long-time Kenosha Unified School District educator.
Also included are books significant in the history of children’s literature, award books, and classics.
