Nursing Lab Facilities
The Nursing Learning Laboratories space, located in Lentz Hall, is a 3,000-square-foot space that houses a welcome center that provides office space for part-time nursing faculty, a desk for nursing laboratory workers, a debriefing room with a whiteboard and TV monitor, a psychomotor skills laboratory, a simulation laboratory, and a virtual reality center.
The simulation laboratory has four high-fidelity human simulators (adult, child, infant, and birthing mother). The simulation laboratory has video cameras and a video capture system for use during student simulations, which can be displayed in the debriefing room. The virtual reality center includes 10 Meta Quest 3 headsets packed with over 145 simulated clinical scenarios.
A Health Assessment Laboratory, across the hall from the Nursing Learning Laboratories, houses four examination tables, a conference table, a whiteboard, and TV monitor.
The Duncan Family Nursing Education Center, located in Hedberg Library, features modern simulation labs and collaborative learning spaces designed to reflect real-world clinical environments. This 11,000-square-foot facility includes 12 low-fidelity patient bays with three debrief conference rooms, two classrooms, and student workspaces.
