Through strategic partnerships with select graduate schools, Ðǿմ«Ã½ undergraduate students have access to program benefits that help make advanced study more affordable.
Michigan Technological University Graduate Fellowship Program
Through a preferred partnership between Ðǿմ«Ã½ and Michigan Technological University, Carthage students and alumni who pursue a or at Michigan Tech, either on campus or online, are eligible to participate in the Graduate Education Fellowship Program.
Please note: Students and alumni applying to the Business Administration (Tech MBA) program at Michigan Tech are not eligible for this fellowship.
This program is open to all majors.
Through this partnership:
- Eligible Carthage students and alumni may receive up to $8,500 per academic year in graduate fellowship support, applied directly toward tuition.
- Up to 20 Carthage students and alumni may participate in the program at any given time.
- Fellowship support may be available for up to four years.
- Participants are fully admitted as Michigan Tech graduate students and receive access to academic advising, campus resources, and student support services.

Please note: Students interested in a graduate program at Michigan Technological University may apply to either the Accelerated Master’s Program (limited to physics or GIS majors) or the Graduate Education Fellowship Program, but cannot participate in both.
WashingtonU McKelvey Engineering Straight to Master’s Pathway
As a benefit of the partnership between Carthage and Washington University in St. Louis McKelvey School of Engineering, students graduating from Carthage who do not participate in the undergraduate dual-degree program can instead apply for direct admission to a master’s program.
Through the , Carthage graduates who are admitted directly into a master’s program within the McKelvey School of Engineering receive a 50% tuition discount.
This opportunity is available to Carthage graduates with backgrounds in science, engineering, mathematics, and computing and is contingent upon acceptance into a qualifying master’s program within the McKelvey School of Engineering. Recommended preparation while at Carthage aligns with requirements for the undergraduate dual-degree program. Students who earn a BS in Engineering from Ðǿմ«Ã½ are not eligible for the Straight to Master’s Pathway.
