Operation Assistant and Host at The Trade Hotel
A Carthage graduate with a degree in public relations, Jackson Evans ’22 now works at The Trade Hotel in Milwaukee as an operations assistant and a host. Mr. Evans primarily works in the hotel’s restaurant, but he also assists in coordinating the hotel’s interactions with VIP groups, including NBA and MLB teams, and familiarizes himself with key points of contact. He says his time at Carthage helped shape his strong work ethic and thoughtful approach in professional settings.
What have you enjoyed most about your career?
“My favorite thing about my career so far is the upward trajectory I’m on.”
How has your liberal arts education benefited you?
“My liberal arts education has allowed me to approach situations with an open mind and an understanding heart.”
Why did you choose Carthage?
“When I was overwhelmed by solicitation letters from various schools during my senior year of high school, Carthage immediately stood out for its physical beauty, and later for its programs and opportunities.”
What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?
“Professor Colleen Palmer is beyond knowledgeable in both concepts and learned experiences, and brought that expertise not just to the classroom, but beyond it as well.”
