Hear from Prof. Triana: Why nursing?

“I loved nursing school. For me, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. I valued the opportunity to learn, collaborate with peer study groups, and be mentored by knowledgeable and inspiring instructors. Although the journey was rigorous and demanding, in addition to being a non-traditional student, I thrived in the challenge and found great satisfaction in balancing my academic and personal responsibilities.”

“I pursued nursing because I felt called to serve others. Contributing to a patient’s health journey and making a meaningful difference in their life is deeply fulfilling. That same sense of purpose now extends to my work in education. Preparing and guiding students as they develop into confident, compassionate nurses is equally gratifying. My passion for nursing and teaching runs parallel, and neither has ever felt like work. Supporting students as they learn, grow, and discover their own calling brings me immense joy and reinforces why I chose this profession.”
