Carthage Engineering and Computer Science Departments were well represented at the Society of Women Engineers annual conference in New Orleans this October.

The conference attracted 20,000 engineering students and professional engineers. Between keynote speakers, panels, technical demonstrations, and networking lounges, there were ample opportunities for connection and growth

“I had an amazing time networking, participating in workshops and speaker sessions, and learning from industry professionals,” said Sarah.

This year’s theme, “Embrace Your Story,” highlighted the value of all the cumulative experiences that make up one’s life.

“The theme, ‘Embrace Your Story,’ reminded me of the power in sharing our experiences and learning from others,” said Lauren, Carthage Women Engineers president.
