Students present at Midstates Biology and Psychology Undergraduate Research Symposium
Three students represented Carthage at the Midstates Consortium for Math and Science Biology and Psychology Undergraduate Research Symposium at the University of Chicago Nov. 1-2. Grace Krueger ’25, Damanpreet Khaira ’25, and Xingchen Liu ’26 participated in the poster session.
Grace and Damanpreet presented their work in biology, titled “Genome Analysis of a Novel Genus of Bacteria.” Xingchen presented her research in exercise and sport science, titled “Force-Time and Velocity Differences between Ballistic Partial Squats and Ballistic Partial Step-Ups.”
The students gained experience explaining their research and answering questions from peers and faculty. The group was accompanied by faculty chaperone Professor Emily Wollmuth and coordinated by Professor Erin Webber.
