Professor Colleen Palmer presented twice at this year’s Central States Communication Associate Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

Prof. Palmer’s Great Idea For Teaching (GIFT) was accepted into the conference, where she presented it before professors from around the Midwest, many of whom have asked to be part of the program in the future.

The GIFT was a CSR assignment that focuses on helping public relations students understand how to craft messages for international audiences using Hofstede’s Cultural Comparison to understand the nuances of different countries.

Secondly, Prof. Palmer served on a panel discussing burnout in the academic field and how to both recharge personally as well as use those tools to reinvigorate time in the classroom both her and her students.
